The Great East Japan earthquake occurred on 11 March 2011. Many young people headed to the affected area. A desolated livid landscape, penetrating nasty smell and dust. Reality that can't even show a glimpse of lost life. The young people have no knowledge and experience. They almost burst with conflict and a feeling of helplessness. Can they bring hope to the affected area?This documentary repeats a query the way of support cases through various activities, such as cleaning up rubble, sports, art workshops and so on.

| Director's Bio/Filmography | Born in Osaka in 1998. Graduated from Musashino Art University. Yoshimoto started producing films, animation, documentary, going beyond the genre, from school days. He won Jury Prize for animated film at the 22nd Tokyo Student Film Festival. He made a documentary, featuring students who participated in an international contribution activity in Bangladesh in South Asia. He worked as a volunteer on site to help the disaster restoration work, cleaning up rubbles etc, after the disaster in 2011. He started gathering information about local residents and volunteers with camera. The documentary "Weapon in Our Hands" was released ensuing year. |
