obon1In 1920, Kunio Yanagida traveled to Tohoku and stumbled upon a summer festival dance in a lonely bayside village of Okonai. Touched by the lyrics of the dance songs and warm hospitality of the local inn, Yanagida revisits the place six years later only to discover that the inn is no longer there.

Director's Bio/Filmography Born in Aichi. After graduating from university, Hirata joined the Telecom Staff Inc. In 2004, she planned and directed a documentary called "Love Story of Three Generations -It is that now I'm here-", which followed the different paths of three generations of women. She featured her family in the final episode, "Love Story of Three Generations", and received the New Face Award of the ATP Award in 2006. She worked on the "Edge" series and the "Memories in Nippon" series, and many more.

Through March 11, 2011, I put additional shootings and was re-edited.
