Japan/99min./2012

After the 3.11 earthquake, director Sato Takemitsu worried about the situation of his hometown Futaba and started recording there with his camera. Since the town was disignated as an exclusion zone due to the accident of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, striken areas in the town were left as they were and the townspeople were forced to live in temporary housing. After the disaster occurred, the realites they are facing have been often reported through various media, while more serious problems or people's real feelings have been hardly conveyed. Furthermore, following the government's announcemnet that the nuclear accident in Fukushima has been contained, we feel optimistic atmosphere as if every problem were already solved. However, the current harsh situation is still only the beginning of the hardships awaiting the Futaba people.
